Urban Conservationist - Dan Taphorn
is the lead staff person for the Administration of the Hamilton
County Earthwork Regulations. He is responsible for plan review, on-site field inspections to determine compliance with the Hamilton County Earthwork Regulations and maintaining records of those inspections.
He also assists landowners with
drainage and erosion issues.
Dan is a life-time resident of Hamilton County.
He
is currently pursuing his degree in Civil Engineering at Cincinnati State and Technical
College and classification through ODNR to be a Certified
Technician.
Dan
serves on the Land Conservancy of Hamilton County.
Dan believes that controlling soil erosion and sedimentation is one of the greatest contributions that can be made in improving
water quality, as well as maintaining soil quality in Hamilton County.
