OKI-RCC Tour - Hamilton County, Ohio
Hamilton County and the City of Cincinnati have added a number of environmentally sustainable upgrades in the past 10 years that has dramatically transformed the Greater Cincinnati Area. We invite you to come and experience the sights, the sounds and the smells first hand. A comfortable Lakefront Lines Bus will transport you to one of the many hobby farms in our county – you will swear you are out in the country! We will then travel to the Historic Findley Market and receive an exclusive tour of how they reduce waste through composting. From there we will drive through the revitalized Over-the Rhine neighborhood on our way to a delicious lunch at Montgomery Inn - Boathouse. In the afternoon, we will stop at a persisting landslide site that seems to be defying remediation and the Chevron Oil Refinery to view the many BMPs they have put into place as part of the Super Fund Clean-up.
