Amazing Monarchs How does a caterpillar transform into a beautiful butterfly? Join us in exploring the life of the Monarch butterfly, including their amazing migration, why they are dangerous to predators, how they eat and why some other butterflies copy the Monarch. While learning we will create our own Monarch life cycle from pasta and paint. These truly are amazing creatures! Edible Aquifer Like to learn AND eat? While we learn about aquifers and groundwater, we’ll create our own mini-version using sweet treats! Discover the wonders of the underground world and how the water you use every day is cleaned naturally before being pumped up by wells. We will also discuss our own Great Miami Buried Valley Aquifer and how it got here. An activity that is fun, educational and tasty all in one! Please contact Education Specialist Gwen Z. Roth or Education Assistant Niki Marengo for further information. |
