Storm Water District and Partner Agencies
Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District (HCSWCD) is one of several partner agencies that work together to assemble the Hamilton County Storm Water District.
The development of the Hamilton County Storm Water District
The Hamilton County Storm Water District was established in response to the federally mandated Phase II storm water program. The Ohio EPA issues the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) general permit for this program that authorizes the discharge of storm water. The partner agencies in the Storm Water District are the Hamilton County Engineers, Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District (HCSWCD), Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH), Hamilton County Planning & Development (HCPD), and Metropolitan Sewer District. The Storm Water District represents Hamilton County’s commitment to storm water issues.
