Can existing storm sewers in your community be retrofitted to detain stormwater, to decrease the frequency of erosive flows in receiving streams?

Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD), in partnership with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and with financial support from the Ohio Environmental Education Fund, have created a methodology and screening tool to help you answer that question.
  • A Project Screening & Cursory Design Methodology document, and
  • an accompanying spreadsheet tool.
These resources are meant to aid water resource managers to assess opportunities for implementing storm sewer retrofit projects to improve local stream stability and ecological integrity.
